- a list of the typical items you will need for your pre-approval

  • Most Recent Paycheck stubs covering the last 30 days for all
    employment.
  • W2 forms and/or 1099 forms for the last 2 years.  If you are using the
    NJ First-Time Buyer program, W2's and Tax Returns are needed for
    previous 3 years.
  • Social Security card, driver's licence or other State or Federal Photo
    identification card.
  • If applicable please bring complete statements, or other
    documentation, covering the last 30 days for additional income, such
    as Social Security, retirement, or disability income.
  • All pages of the past 3 months statements for all checking, savings,
    CD, money market, brokerage, 401K and/or other accounts. If you have
    a passbook, please bring it so it can be copied.
  • If renting, please have name, address, and telephone number for each
    landlord from the past 1 year. Or, if you do not wish to contact your
    landlord(s), bring the past 12 month most recent, consecutive
    cancelled rent checks.
  • If you have already signed a purchase agreement, please bring a
    complete copy of the contract.
  • If applicable please bring a complete copy of your Divorce Decree,
    Separation Agreement, Bankruptcy or Foreclosure papers.
  • If you have sold your home, please bring a copy of your contract and/ or
    settlement statement.
  • If you are Refinancing, please bring a copy of your mortgage note and
    insurance declaration.
  • VA Loans Only: Certificate of eligibility, DD-214 (out of service)
    statement of service (in service). Active military, a copy of your orders
    and permission to live off base card.
  • Copies of signed corporate, partnership or S-Corporation Federal
    Income Tax Returns and schedules for the last 2 years, if you own a
    business. Also bring current profit and loss statement.

Getting a mortgage approved quickly requires your help. We can respond
